Following a decision made at the ICG Tallinn 2025 beach volleyball technical meeting, the girls’ tournament will include both losers’ pool matches and placement matches for 5th–18th place after the group stage.

The girls’ beach volleyball tournament has six groups of three teams each. The winner of each group advances to the winners’ pool. The top two teams from each winners’ pool advance to the semifinals, while the teams finishing third in each winners’ pool play for 5th–6th place.

The losers’ pool will consist of the 2nd- and 3rd-place teams from the group stage. They will be drawn into four groups of three teams. Placement matches will be determined based on points ratio (points won vs. points lost). The teams with the best points ratio in the losers’ pool will play for 7th–8th place, the next for 9th–10th, and so on.

The losers’ pool matches will start on 6 August at 16:00, and the placement matches will take place on 7 August. The schedule is available here.

The aim of this change is to give participating teams in the ICG Tallinn 2025 girls’ beach volleyball tournament more opportunities to play.
