At an extraordinary meeting today, the Tallinn City Government suspended the mandate of Tõnis Liinat, Pirita District Elder, as of today, 6 July. Kaido Saarniit, the current Deputy District Elder of Haabersti, was temporarily appointed as acting Pirita District Elder from tomorrow, 7 July.
From 25 to 28 August, Tallinn Maritime Days will bring top-class artists, exciting family activities and a host of unique ships to four Tallinn ports: Old Passenger Harbour, Seaplane Harbour, Noblessner Marina and Haven Kakumäe Marina.
Today, the City of Tallinn signed a design and construction contract with Merko Ehitus Eesti AS and KMG Inseneriehituse AS for the construction of a tram line connecting Tallinn Old City Harbour and the future Ülemiste Terminal. The cost of the contract is €36.5 million plus VAT, and the construction works are due in February 2025.

The City of Tallinn and the Police and Border Guard Board are starting the ‘Lock or Lose’ information campaign, the purpose of which is to prevent bicycle theft and raise people's awareness in avoiding becoming a victim of theft. The police organised a similar campaign a couple of years ago and this year, Tallinn will be joining it as well.
