First outdoor e-cigarette collection boxes installed in pilot project

The city suspends building health trails in the Sütiste forest

More than 25 tonnes of hazardous waste was brought in by residents during collection rounds
During the two previous weekends, Tallinn residents brought in 25 735, 96 kg of hazardous waste and eight tonnes of usable items. The residents of Tallinn can dispose of household hazardous waste in waste collection points. The Tallinn Waste Management Centre has six collection points for hazardous waste, which are open at weekends. The service is free of charge.
Eight public packaging points were set up around the Old Town
In eight new locations around the Old Town new plastic-metal, beverage carton, cardboard-paper packaging and glass packaging containers were set, primarily to promote separate collection of waste.

Tallinn celebrates the Ethnic Culture Days
From September 18 until September 26, the seventh Ethnic Culture Days take place in Tallinn, starting with a traditional ethno-fair on the Town Hall Square on Saturday. The programme consists of free workshops, exhibitions and cinema screenings, concerts and overviews of the culture and customs of different nationalities living in Tallinn.
