From this week, the district administrations of Tallinn will distribute free medical masks to families with many children, single parents, senior citizens and people receiving income-dependent benefits.

From this week, a collection campaign for old Christmas trees started in the districts of Tallinn, in which residents can take their trees to collection points free of charge. As the cold weather season is arriving, all public water taps will be closed. However, Tallinn plans to install new public water taps next season. Right now, residents can suggest locations for the new water taps.

Tallinn is taking part in an international project to develop an effective package of adaptation measures to counter the increasing effect of heat waves caused by climate change, with Väike-Õismäe as the pilot area.

Today and tomorrow, 21 and 22 March, the energy company Utilitas will carry out helicopter thermal imaging of district heating pipelines over Tallinn to map the technical condition of the pipelines. The flights will take place late in the evening.
