The Tallinn Electoral Committee will accept applications for candidacy in the City Council and district councils from 20 August to 9 September.

Starting 1 September, Tallinn’s public transport will switch to the autumn–winter schedule, which means timetable changes for many bus and tram lines.

From 1 September, City of Tallinn will introduce a new bus route, No. 8A, running between Mähe aedlinn and Viru keskus to provide Mähe and Pirita residents with an alternative connection to the city centre. The decision follows feedback on previous changes to route No. 8.

This Wednesday, Tallinn will celebrate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with its annual concert at Harjumägi, August 20th Square. In anticipation of Advent, Tallinn will be decorated with fairytale-like winter lights - Christmas decorations and various lighting solutions will be installed in the Old Town and all over the city. People are invited to visit the Christmas Market, enjoy ice skating in various ice rinks and take part in several events.
