The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinna Sügisjooks (Autumn Run) will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September, bringing tens of thousands of running enthusiasts to the districts of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti. As a result, there will be temporary changes to traffic and public transport.

Starting 1 September, Tallinn’s public transport will switch to the autumn–winter schedule, which means timetable changes for many bus and tram lines.

In February, the City of Tallinn and Viimsi Municipality signed a joint memorandum of understanding, under which bus line No. 1, which currently ends in Viimsi Centre, will be extended to Vimka Ski Centre starting 1 September.

Due to the weather conditions on 23 August, the Ironman Tallinn team has announced that the competitions will be delayed by three hours. This change also affects the previously published public transport detour times.

From December 27-29, Pae Street will see essential water and sewer pipeline construction near the property of Pae Street 2. During these dates, the affected street section will be closed to traffic. As a result, bus lines 7, 13, 50, and 58 will undergo temporary route adjustments. In addition, construction works will necessitate the closure of one lane on Peterburi maantee.

Tallinn's public transportation will follow a Sunday schedule during the Christmas period. On New Year's Eve, December 31, due to a concert at Freedom Square, traffic will be closed in the area, and bus and trolley lines passing through will be rerouted. After midnight on January 1, several lines will operate extended services to ensure partygoers can return home via public transport.

On Wednesday, October 25, road resurfacing work will take place on Kreutzwaldi Street, between Tartu maantee and Gonsiori Street. Due to the construction, the bus routes No. 9, 31, 35, 42, 46, and 55 in Tallinn's city center will be temporarily altered.
