Construction works on Odra Street are nearing completion, and the street will be reopened to traffic starting Monday, 19 May. Bus routes 54 and 67 will also return to their normal routes.

On Wednesday, June 26, major reconstruction work will begin on Lastekodu Street, resulting in a high-quality urban space where people can safely and comfortably move on foot, by bike, or by car. The construction will bring changes to downtown traffic and, in later stages, to public transportation.

The Tallinn City Government is set to submit the 2025 city budget proposal to the City Council. The proposed budget totals €1.29 billion, which is €69.9 million (5.7%) higher than the revised 2024 budget. The largest portions of both investment and operational expenses are allocated to education and mobility.

The Tallinn Urban Environment and Public Works Department, AS Utilitas Tallinn, and AS Tallinna Vesi are set to sign a cooperation agreement that facilitates better planning and synchronization of utility network construction and reconstruction. This coordination with other city infrastructure projects aims to reduce the impact of construction on the city's residents and businesses.

The reconstruction of Lastekodu street and the construction of communication lines at the intersection of Liivalaia street, Tartu maantee, and Rävala puiestee will bring traffic changes and public transport reroutes starting July 15. Traffic controllers will assist in guiding the traffic flow.

The Tallinn City Government has presented the City Council with the first supplementary budget proposal for 2024, increasing the total city budget by 9.5 million euros. One of the priorities of the supplementary budget is the urban landscape and mobility sectors, with additional funds allocated primarily to improve the quality of winter street maintenance and to develop landscaping.
