The month of May is dedicated to biodiversity in Tallinn’s urban environment and from 20 to 27 May, Tallinn Green Week with three international theme days will take place. Admirers of nature are welcome to take part in nature walks, bird singing evenings, open bee days and many other events.
From 17 May, groups of up to 25 people are allowed to attend public events and meetings and entertainment venues outdoors. People can visit outdoor public saunas, spas, swimming pools, and water parks, provided that the number of participants does not exceed 25 people per group.
On Tallinn Day, May 15, the traditional washing of the city streets will take place, which also marks the finish of this year’s Urban Maintenance Month. The street sweepers will start moving from Pirita road towards the city centre at 8 am.
City district governments, in cooperation with the Tallinn Transport Board, are starting to develop solutions for the use of urban space for entrepreneurs to open outdoor cafés and restaurants.
On Saturday, May 15, Tallinn Day will be celebrated for the 20th time. In view of the current restrictions, various opportunities will be offered to participate in Tallinn Day from the beginning of the week.
Although it is still restricted to organise events, there are many ways in Tallinn to celebrate a joyful and memorable Mother's Day. Already from tomorrow, May 7, you can listen to web concerts and visit exhibitions; museums, the Zoo and the Botanical Garden are open.
The Tallinn City Government has appointed Mart Luik as the Business Director of Tallinn. Luik was selected in a public competition and will start working as the head of Enterprise Service of the Tallinn Strategic Management Office on 24 May.
This Wednesday, June 9, at 6 pm, the garden gates of the Kopli folk house (Kopli 93) will be reopened and the custom of community Wednesdays will be set in.
