Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, who is visiting Estonia, at Tallinn Town Hall.

Today, 5 April, Tallinn City Youth Council addressed Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Andrei Novikov with a proposal to open night-time public transport services in Tallinn on weekends. According to Novikov, the proposal was certainly worth considering.

To create a nine-kilometre-long park area on a limestone cliff bordering Lasnamäe, Kesklinn and Pirita, a call for ideas was carried out among Tallinn residents. The results will be presented today, 31 March, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljaku Klaassaal). The presentation can also be followed online.

All branches of Tallinn City Museum and the museums of Tallinn Literary Centre will once again open their doors for free museum visits this Sunday, 3 April. From this week, the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds Visitor Centre can also be visited free of charge on Tallinn Museum Sundays.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart completed his visit to Lviv, Ukraine at the invitation of Mayor Andrei Sadovy, to meet with city government and to learn about the situation of refugees. In the coming days, a humanitarian aid shipment from Tallinn will also be sent to Lviv.

The Tallinn City Council, in an extraordinary session last week, unequivocally condemned the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine and expressed its support for the Ukrainian people. In addition, cooperation with Russian municipalities will be terminated. The appeal was supported by all the political groups represented in the city council.

Due to the preparations for the Estonian Independence Day parade taking place on Vabaduse Square in Tallinn, the Covid prevention point on Vabaduse Square will be closed on 23 and 24 February. Other vaccination points in the city will remain open even during the national holiday.
