Tallinn designated as UNESCO City of Music
Today, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay announced 49 new cities that were designated as members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Among them is Tallinn, which will bear the title of UNESCO City of Music from 2022.
From today, people in Tallinn can register for vaccination at home

Tallinn schools to continue partial distance learning for another week
Yesterday, the City Government decided that Tallinn municipal schools will continue partial distance learning for another week, i.e. from 8 to 12 November. Distance learning will continue for grade 4-8 students, but students in grades 1-3 and 9-12, and also students with special educational needs, will remain on contact learning.

Tallinn to increase the disabled child’s benefit from next year
According to an amendment to the City Government’s regulation, the amount of the disabled child’s benefit in Tallinn will increase from 100 euros to 125 euros annually from next year.
Tallinn opens ten school stadiums for public use in the summer
Tallinn is launching a pilot project that will open ten school stadiums for city residents to use during the summer holidays. The stadiums are open seven days a week from June 14 to the end of August.
Collection bins for used masks set up in Tallinn
Tallinn public space will be equipped with a hundred collection bins for collecting disposable face masks in order to reduce the number of masks discarded as plastic waste.
