This summer marks 20 years since the creation of Roosimägi (Rose Hill) in Kadriorg Park. Over the years, this beloved rose collection and beautiful landscaping have become one of the park’s highlights for both residents and visitors.

On Wednesday, 27 August, Mustamäe Männi Park will transform into a real Olympic village, where everyone can find an activity they enjoy. Starting at 16:00, you can try 20 different sports and activities – from classic athletics and basketball to parkour, curling, and yard games. And it’s all completely free!

Today, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) launches the international video series “Travel Redefined: Tourism for People and Planet.” The series, filmed across six continents, features more than 20 organisations and destinations. Representing Estonia is Tallinn’s tourism brand Visit Tallinn. Tallinn invites everyone to welcome the New Year at Freedom Square, where the celebration will feature a concert with performances by ensemble LAINE, folk-infused beats of Trad.Attack!, rapper nublu and an innovative light show titled “New Beginning.” Due to the concert, there will be traffic closures in the area and rerouted public transport lines to accommodate the festivities.

During the last two weekends of October, residents of Tallinn can once again give away hazardous waste free of charge. On October 23, hazardous waste are collected in Kesklinn and Lasnamäe, on October 24 in Kristiine and Põhja-Tallin, on October 30 in Pirita and Mustamäe, and on October 31 in Haabersti and Nõmme.
