The Tallinn Transport Department, in cooperation with the Integration Foundation, has launched the campaign “Learn Estonian on the go!”, bringing language learning into everyday travel. For just over a month, simple language tips and illustrations will be displayed on public transport and at stops.

This year, the City of Tallinn has revised the fundamental principles of its sports support system for children and young people. The reform aims to encourage participation in organised physical activity by increasing both the number of children eligible for support and the amount of support per child. In February, the City of Tallinn and Viimsi Municipality signed a joint memorandum of understanding, under which bus line No. 1, which currently ends in Viimsi Centre, will be extended to Vimka Ski Centre starting 1 September.

The proposals from the Citizens’ Assembly have led to 61 initiatives to make the city greener and more people-centric: 20 have already been completed, 28 are underway, and 13 are still to come.
