Starting Monday, January 15, the route of bus line No. 35 will change in the city centre on Narva maantee and Pronksi Street.

On Monday, January 15, GScan OÜ, one of the four winners of Tallinnovation 2023, will begin measuring the cross-section of the exterior facade of the Tallinn City Government's main building (located at Vabaduse väljak 7) using muon scanners. The measurements will last approximately three weeks.

As a UNESCO City of Music, Tallinn pays special attention to music events that that add vibrancy to the city's cultural lineup. For the first round of music project grants in 2024, the city will allocate a total of €154,070 to support 32 initiatives. A record number of 90 projects were submitted for this funding round.

Parents in Tallinn have until this Sunday, March 24, to submit applications for assigning a school by place of residence for children entering the first grade in the 2024/2025 academic year. Starting April 1, all Tallinn waste treatment plants will switch to their summer schedule. The Pääsküla, Rahumäe, Paljassaare, and Pärnamäe waste treatment plants will be open from 12.00 to 20.00 on weekdays and from 10.00 to 18.00 on weekends starting from the beginning of April.

The construction of the Old City Harbour tramway along Põhja puiestee near Linnahall is set to disrupt tram services to Kopli from May 3 until mid-August. During the first weekend of May, tram lines No. 1, 2, and 5 will be out of service. From May 6, a temporary tram line No. 1 will operate between Kopli and Linnahall stops.

This year, more than 300 public transport stop shelters in Tallinn are being replaced. The first prototype of the new shelter has already been installed at the Vabaduse väljak stop to test the suitability and durability of the information screens in the urban environment of Tallinn.

This upcoming weekend, from the evening of May 3 at 8 PM until the end of Sunday, May 5, tram lines 1, 2, and 5 will not be operating. During this time, shuttle bus line 52 will replace these tram routes between Kopli and Mere puiestee.
