The City of Tallinn has decided to add up to €25 for the purchase of a bicycle helmet to the "Bike to School" grant of up to €100. The application for the grant must be sent together with the application for the bicycle purchase subsidy and the invoice for the purchase of the helmet.
In August this year, 20 special litter bins were installed on the shores of the northern part of Tallinn to prevent cigarette butts from entering the sea. The pilot project lasted for two months, during which time around 11 000 cigarette butts were collected from the bins, which will later be given a new life as 3D printing material.
Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and Deputy Mayor Tanel Kiik, who visited Ukraine today, handed over 14 diesel buses as a gift to the Mayor of Zhytomyr Serhiy Sukhomlin. In the afternoon, Tallinn city leaders also handed over to the municipalities of the Zhõtomyr region electricity generators and other essential supplies sent from Tallinn.
As of Monday, 9 January, buses of express bus line 14 will stop at the Vineeri bus stop and buses of the express bus line 46 will stop at the Humala bus stop. Bus No 59 will stop at Pikakari bus stop.
Today, 4 January, the cornerstone was laid for the Kadriorg Park Economic Building (L. Koidula 34a, Tallinn). A modern building inspired by the historical orangery is under construction, part of which will be open to visitors in the future.
The first free Museum Sunday of 2023 will take place this Sunday, 8 January. The initiative will be joined by the Nõmme Museum, located in the former station building.
On 10 March, the photo exhibition "I Choose Life", depicting Ukrainians who fled to Estonia from the war and their stories, will open on Vabaduse Square. It is a social and cultural project created by Ukrainian war refugee photographers.
