During the free bulky waste disposal week on 21-27 August, seven times more bulky waste was brought to waste stations than on an average August week.

The Tallinn City Administration approved the decision to start the 2024 participatory budget process during today's session. Until Monday, 13 February, talented students from Tallinn's general and recreational schools can register for the music competition Tallinna Talent, which is held for the third time this year. The twenty best participants will be awarded the title of the city’s most talented musician and a one-off scholarship.

From 7 March, construction works will start for the first phase of the Vanasadama tramline, causing changes in the traffic regulation in the city center. The construction will begin on Gonsiori and Laikmaa streets, which will lead to the closure of Gonsiori street in the direction out of the city center between Laikmaa and Reimani streets and Laikmaa street between Gonsiori and Narva mnt towards Narva mnt.

This year, Tallinn will continue to support the cultivation of edible, culinary and ornamental plants in the urban environment - the call for applications for non-profit support in the field of urban gardening is open until 1 February and the call for applications for educational gardens until 15 February.

The construction of the new tram line in Tallinn’s City Centre is stopping the operation of tram lines 2 and 4 from 17 April to 2 July.

On Tuesday, 4 April, the second phase of the Vanasadam tram line construction work will begin and with that, Hobujaama Street and half of Laikmaa Street in the direction of Gonsiori Street will be closed. Narva mnt and the Hobujaama intersection will remain open. The construction work will cause changes to 27 bus line routes.
