As of 10 November, UNESCO City of Music Tallinn and music industry development center Music Estonia will start cooperation.

Wanderlust travel magazine has awarded Tallinn second place in the category of Europe's Most Desirable City. The second place was awarded to Tallinn thanks to the tourists who visited the city and who were vocal in their opinions on the portal.

This week, the ACES of Europe Validation Committee got to know the opportunities for sports and the organisation of sports in Tallinn – the prerequisites for the title of European Capital of Sport 2025 are created by local and national sport events taking place here in addition to the infrastructure supporting sports. The winner will be declared this November.

Tomorrow, 25 November at 6pm, the traditional Christmas market will open at Town Hall Square and the lights will be lit on Tallinn's central Christmas tree. Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and Aivar Riisalu, Member of the City Council and Chairman of the Innovation Committee, on a visit to the Republic of Korea, met with Lee Han-kyu, Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and visited Shinhan University, where the Mayor was awarded an honorary doctorate.

The City of Tallinn is inviting cyclists to take part in an international mobility survey to map their journeys between June and September. The data collected will be used to develop a platform that analyses cyclists’ mobility patterns and will empower the city to become more bicycle friendly.

At the international music and city festival Tallinn Music Week (TMW) last week, representatives from the UNESCO Cities of Music - Tallinn, Norrköping, Katowice and Veszprém - discussed the role of culture and music in addressing the refugee crisis.

Due to the Europe Day concert by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tallinn city centre, the intersections of Rävala puiestee with Lembitu and Lauteri streets and the squares of Teatri and Islandi will be closed to traffic today, 9 May from 6.30pm until midnight.
