This year, the City of Tallinn will install more benches than usual, primarily to improve independent mobility for the elderly. New benches will be added not only to the streets of the city centre and other districts but also to parks and green spaces.

Tallinn is developing a modern, people-friendly, and green Main Street along Narva maantee and Pärnu maantee, stretching from the Jõe–Pronksi intersection to Vabaduse väljak. Locals are invited to join a public discussion on 11 June at 17:30 at Nordic Hotel Forum, where the city will present an overview of the feedback received so far.

To ensure everyone can conveniently return home, key public transport lines in the city will operate until 3 am on January 1.

Alexela, Eesti Energia, the Port of Tallinn, the University of Tartu and the Estonian Hydrogen Association have today signed an agreement to establish Hydrogen Valley Estonia to accelerate the vigorous and versatile development of the hydrogen industry and to officially establish the world’s first nationwide Hydrogen Valley.

As the European Capital of Sport, Tallinn will host the world’s largest multi-sport event for 12–15-year-olds from 4–7 August. The competition brings together delegations from cities across the globe.

The Tallinnovation competition for innovation organised by Tehnopol and the city of Tallinn received a record 25 applications this year. The jury chose four companies from among them that will receive a total of 100,000 euros to help bring their solutions into the urban space.
